Shanmugathai, 63, is a mill worker, working hard to make ends meet. A diagnosis of cataract in her right eye put her work to a standstill, but she was able to retrace her steps back to work thanks to Sankara’s team who led her to free surgery. She now plans to visit Sankara for treatment of her other eye during her Diwali holidays for cataract surgery. She has also referred many of her friends to Sankara for free treatments.
