Sankara Eye Centre CoimbatoreSankara Eye Care Institutions are dedicated to eradicating preventable and curable blindness in India through one of the largest rural outreach programme in India.

Our mission of “Vision 20/20 by the year 2020” aims to perform 1 million surgeries annually through 20 centres across India.

Our 3 centres at Coimbatore and Krishnan Kovil in Tamilnadu and Guntur in Andhra Pradesh already perform 75000 surgeries annually.

Sankara Tulsi National Institute of Community Ophthalmology is a post graduate training centre training eye surgeons, administrators to paramedical and field staff.

The super specialty eye centre is equipped to provide the latest in diagnostic and therapeutic care and is today synonymous as a centre for affordable specialty eye care.

Our Philosophy
India remains today one of the largest contributors to the world blind pool. With the current population in excess of 1000 million the visually impaired are estimated to be 18 million.

We have endeavored over the years to provide quality health care to all regardless of socioeconomic considerations and more importantly to do this with empathy. We are today synonymous with affordable superspeciality eye care.
