This opportunity is available to international medical students, fellows, or physicians (M.S/DO) who wish to expand their knowledge of community ophthalmology. Observers can expect to participate, with their colleagues, in the work of a diagnostic medical center, the treatment of various eye diseases, and also participate in research and the various educational activities on campus.
The observership can last anywhere from two weeks to three months. Preference would be given to sponsored candidates. There is great flexibility for the participant to observe as many or few of our programs as desired.
To be considered for an observership, a candidate mustfully complete the application attach a copy of their résumé, and include a cover letter. The résumé should include education, work experience, research history and a list of publications.
As a visiting physician in this program, a participant cannot provide clinical treatment. Accommodation can be arranged on a subsidized twin share basis.
At the end of their training, all observers will receive a certificate acknowledging their participation and length of rotation at Sankara Eye Centre.
We invite you to be a part of one of the largest community eye care programs in the world.
