Sankara Eye Hospital has gone through the Swachhata Ranking 2018 Assessment for Single Specialty Hospital in Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation and has been adjudged “1st Rank” by Dr. Vijayakarthikeyan I.A.S. (Commissioner & Special Officer, Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation) under category “SINGLE SPECIALTY HOSPITAL as a part of Swachh Bharat Mission – Coimbatore”

UK Alumni Awards 2017-18

“When outstanding individuals receive a world-class education in the UK, the effects can last a lifetime. The Alumni Awards pay tribute to the impact that alumni of UK higher education institutions have had in their chosen field, and how this was sparked by their studies in the UK.

Mr. Bharath Balasubramaniam now severing as the President of Sankara Eye Care Foundation – which is one of the biggest community eye care providers in the country India has won the “Social Impact” award. He has been recognised as an Eye Health leader in 2014 by IAPB (International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness) and has performed up to 79,271 free eye surgeries in 2008-09 to 1,41,366 free eye surgeries annually in 2016-17 (78 % increases)"

  • Asian Hospital Management Award 2009 (Excellence Award) for Comprehensive Paediatric Eye Care Program by Hospital Management Asia, Vietnam.
  • Bharath Balasubramaniam, President, Community Outreach Eye Care has been selected as one of the Eye Health Leaders for 2014 by the International Association for Prevention of Blindness. The main showcase from IAPB was the Standard Operating Protocol for improving quality and efficiency of eye care delivery developed by the community outreach department
